Job Description

TaskForce is seeking a deeply online, curiosity-driven Meme Creator & Reddit Community Manager to lead meme production, testing, and distribution inside key Reddit communities and broader digital ecosystems. This role centers on Reddit-native content, cross-platform meme work, and relationship-building with moderators, power-users, and niche cultural subreddits.

You’ll craft memes and rapid-response content designed to resonate authentically in politically diverse, culturally distinct Reddit communities. You’ll also manage posting calendars, track performance across subreddits, coordinate with Marketing for distribution, and help drive the evolution of our meme strategy.

This person will contribute to Editorial Meetings, bring Reddit insights into creative brainstorms, and help TaskForce expand its footprint across Reddit and similar community-driven platforms

Key Responsibilities

• CONTENT CREATION
• Produce original meme content—static, GIF, short-form video—built specifically for Reddit consumption (cross-posted to Facebook, Instagram, and other channels as needed).
• Adapt content formats to fit subreddit rules, voice, tone, and sense of humor.
• Rapidly conceptualize and iterate on memes for news cycles, trending posts, or emergent platform behaviors.
• Stay immersed in Reddit trends, political discourse, internet culture, and niche sub-communities that shape meme language.
• Understand and utilize AI when appropriate
• COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
• Identify, research, and map high-value subreddits aligned with campaign, culture, or audience goals.
• Maintain user profiles/personas across subreddits and platforms.
• Actively engage in Reddit communities—posting, commenting, responding, and participating in discourse where appropriate.
• Build and sustain relationships with moderators, meme creators, and community stakeholders.
• Monitor subreddit performance, sentiment, and feedback loops to refine meme formats, distribution strategies, and audience insights.

• TEAM COLLABORATION
• Participate in Editorial Meetings, bringing forward Reddit trend reports, meme audits, and community insights.
• Collaborate with other meme team members to test formats, share learnings, and workshop ideas.
• Work closely with the Design and Creative Teams during content reviews to develop and refine visual approaches.
• Engage with external meme networks and creators to keep TaskForce’s content fresh, adaptive, and platform-native.
• CONTENT DISTRIBUTION
• Distribute Into Action Lab assets across Reddit and adjacent platforms and ensure content fits subreddit norms.
• Log content placements, posts, and performance metrics across communities daily.
• Complete tracking forms consistently and on time for internal reporting and analytics.
• Complete weekly reports on content performance.

• Up-to-date understanding of internet culture, memes, pop culture, politics, sports, and digital discourse.
• Interest in digital organizing, audience development, community mobilization, and digital storytelling.
• Experience in civic engagement, political participation, digital advocacy, or progressive movement spaces is a plus.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in digital engagement, community management, meme creation, or analytics for a campaign, advocacy org, social change agency, or brand.
• Demonstrated experience with Reddit, subreddit engagement, and navigating diverse political and cultural online communities.
• Strong fluency in social media , digital content, internet culture, and platform-specific humor.

• Ability to produce content natively suited for Reddit and cross-platform adaptation.

Benefits

The salary for this position is $75,000 plus a generous benefits package.
