Fine Dining Kitchen Assistant Location Rancho Cordova, CA :

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team specializes in Filipino cuisine. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fine dining and food service, with the ability to support the Head Chef in creating exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of kitchen management and hospitality.

Duties

• Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development for both daily service and special events, including banquets and catering.
• Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain inventory control by tracking supplies, ordering ingredients, and managing stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
• Assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes that meet the standards of fine dining establishments.
• Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations during peak service times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Filipino cuisine with fine dining or high-volume food service environment is a MUST
• Strong supervisory skills with experience in leading a team within a kitchen setting.
• Knowledge of banquet service and catering operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory management practices and kitchen management systems.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
